I had an accident that was my fault in my vehicle while on the job. I was taking a bank deposit to the bank for the shop. Is my employer legally responsible for the damages? I had insurance but not to cover my car. This was in Georgia.

they are responsible..........................
this is a work related incident even if you were clocked out and dropping the deposit in the night depository on your way home they would still be responsible.

if you had full coverage they would still be responsible but they would get some compensation from your insurance for the co-coverage in that case.

i would talk to your ins rep. see what they say? does your job require you to drive? did you sign anything when hired and did they take a copy of your license? if you did sign anything.. you might want to take a look at that.. see if there are any hidden restriction on there part that you may have over looked!
