I'm always asking my superiors how to do my job. Its really f*cking frustrating to keep asking someone what buttons to press. God I want a drink. Anyone else experiencing this scenario?

First you need to understand ....a drink will not help your situation....if you rely on alcohol to support your self esteem...you need help.
Perhaps if you address that issue the rest may go away.
AA is a great help....may want to try it. |

Anytme i have felt that wat it did'nt last long because i did'nt ant to aste anymore of my time there so i quit,
I'm so glad i did because eventuly i found higher paying jobs that i liked and if you like what your doing it dont even seem like work. |

I'd go to my supervisor and TELL him that I'm frustrated at not knowing how to do my job without running for directions all the time, that I feel like I'm not earning my paycheck and it's driving me to DRINK. Maybe he can get a more experienced employee to show you the ropes, or will do it himself. |

I had a job like that, no one would tell me anything after I asked directions and how to do my job. I told them(and they knew), that I had limited experience doing that sort of thing and said they were willing to work with that. I think all they wanted was another butt in the seat and I was tired of being the pawn so after 2 weeks I quit. I'm a very hard worker and hate being ignored, and not able to do my job. But like said, in your situation, don't drink, please it won't solve anything except maybe make you belligerent and do something stupid(like call your bosses!). Politely demand, " I need to know my job whenever you aren't here, if you leave I cannot do my job properly and that hurts both of us.If you do not have time to show me give me someone who does, and if you can't do that then why did you hire me?" If you really want to work for the company, this is a good time to plug the company. Good luck its very aggravating(i left 2 jobs because of this). People who know me say I have a problem with authority, maybe you and I just have problems with people being uncommunicative! God bless |
