Just remember that you are trying to sell your self. Dress nicely by wearing a skirt if you are a girl and slacks if you are a guy.
Also remember that you need to talk about how YOU can give back to the law firm and be helpful to them. Tell them what you can give them and how hiring you can be beneficial to the law firm. Say that you are fast worker and a problem solver.
Just be nice, curtious, and helpful. They will probably ask you how long you have been working. Past experience. What hours you can work. How you are with the certain age group of people that are working with you.
Just be prepared for anything. Just remember to always be nice and just act like you are talking with your grandma when you are being interviewed. But be professional. |

Good Luck, they all ask different questions, but you can dress right for the interview. Don't touch your face, hair. Don't move such much, some people do it with out noticing when they are nerves. Keep your feet plated to the floor don't cross your legs. Don't ever answer a question with the word ummm, they will think that you really don't know what your talking about. People do not even know they do it as well. You need to keep good eye contact with the person, yes you don't want to just stair dead out them. Use the triangle method, look it the spot from their two eyes to their nose, so you wont be looking dead in the eye the whole time. Don't forget your resume as well. Good Luck again, hope you nail it as well! |

This is what I ask --- What qualities to you have that can help me in running this firm?
What I am looking for is someone who can be courteous, calm a nervous client, handle 3 calls/visitors at once, and keep me on schedule. You will be the face associated with the firm. You have to be able to keep your cool when nasty or just nervous clients appear. You also need to listen to what is going on --- pitch in when we have a mailing, or something that needs lots of work.
Today my receptionist really helped out, she got a call from a someone who was not even a client who wanted to dump a box of legal papers off for a Hearing on Monday. She politely put him on hold and found me. I talked to him and reminded the person that we did not and would not represent him. Because of her quick thinking she averted a real problem.
Just tell the firm how you can do the same for them. Wish you the very very best of luck. |

Same as any interview, but the bottom line is that you have to show yourself trustworthy. Law firms handle a lot of confidential material, so make that a priority. |
