I have a tough life/legal decision, need opinions please?

So last week i was arrested and pressed with charges like 'corruption of a minor, furnishing alcohol to a minor, posession of paraphenalia, and underage drinking.' i talked to a lawyer who basically said 'u pay me 2000 dollars and i give u 2 decisions: 1) being you can take a disorderly conduct charge and be done with it since its your first offense, or 2) you can do community service 25-50 hours, take dui classes, and have all charges expunged....

the only bad part about choice 2 is i couldnt take dui classes in the future if i do it now.

im going to school for civil engineering and im not sure how bad disorderly conduct will look - what should i do?

thankyou

Go with a public defender- they can be awesome! Take the classes for sure, in the professional world it is not uncommon to see DUIs but most people want to see that you've done restitution- so do it, and it will be expunged! No brainer. You sound like you want to have leeway room to drink and drive some more- grow up! If a DA in the future sees that you had an opportunity in the past to get rid of your charges and you didnt- he's not gonna look favorably upon dishing out some more- you're just an irresponsible thug to him and probably won't give you a break. Again- GROW UP and do what you need to do!!

I would definitely go with option 2.

Having stuff like that on your record is never going to look good.

And why would you need DUI classes in the future? Are you planning on driving drunk?
