think I am able to do my job... We start new holiday entitlement in April so will i be owed any holiday pay from them?
Additional Details
I have been with them for over 2 years, the job involves a lot of heavy lifting which i can no longer do. I dont want to be on permanent sick so would be better finding a job i am capable of.

You will be entitled to however much you would accrue between April 1 and your last day - presumably June 7?
So how much you actually get depends on your contractual entitlement but very, very roughly, this would be just slightly less than a quarter of your annual entitlement.
If you had any holiday owing that you carried over from the last year then you may possibly get this as well, but this is entirely discretionary on the company's part. I know that my employer would pay up to a maximum of 5 days carried over. |

Yes you should get some holiday pay, just depends how long you have been employed with your present company, my one query why don't you think that you are able to do your job?, have you explained to your boss your reason why you cannot do your job, is it because that you were sick or is it something else, because if it was sickness they could and should help you.....Good Luck whatever happens :-)) |
