As per terms of Contract Act, You can revoke your resignation any time before the acceptance letter is delivered to you !

maybe your boss won't let you retract it

Whatever you do, do it in writing!

Since your resignation was in writing.

You need to approach the person that you wrote your resignation to, and formally write in that you wish to revoke your resignation.

I would do this ASAP, as they may have begun the process of terminating your contract.

I've seen it done at my job. This lady had said she was retiring with the company, they sent out a email to the whole company. Just ask if you could stay, that pretty much all you can do. Thats what she did, I'm listening to her talk right now.

You can ask the person you submitted to your resignation to if you can retract it, but they don't have to agree.

Approach the appropriate individual with a letter requesting retraction of your resignation, but also ask to speak with them and explain your reasons for resigning and your reasons for changing your mind.

In some cases a company may be looking to downsize by not replacing people when they leave, and therefore they may not accept your retraction. Also an employer may feel that you'd just be there for a few months more until you found something better, and choose not to accept your retraction.

I resigned from my job then withdrew it 1 week before. They were fine as I got on well with my manager & had been working there for many years.I think that as long as you have a good relationship with your boss & explain the situation (and grovel a bit) you would be fine
Just be honest especially if you want to stay for the right reasons
