I might have made a mistake on my resume, can I still be hired?
Find answers to your legal question.

I might have made a mistake on my resume, can I still be hired?

I recently applied and will be interviewed for an IT position at a really big company. On my resume in my education section, I listed my dates of attendance as 2002-2007 when it was really 2001-2007. Will I still be able to get hired for being a year off?

I don't think anybody is going to worry about that, as long as the other stuff is accurate.

What you have on your resume is factually correct, you were there from 2002-2007, it just isn't complete. They won't not hire you for a typo. If it bothers you, call the HR department and point out the error on your resume to them.

That really isn't a big deal. When you arrive at the interview you will surely be given a job application and just put the correct information. Also when meeting with the hiring manager also bring to their attention the typo and he/she will make the change right there. Nothing to worry about at all.

that shouldn't make or break the hire decision i wouldn't sweat it. If you bring it to their attention that would come across as goo for you. Shows you have ethics.

I dont see why not, as long as you were not in prison for the time! Just tell them at the interview, Im sure loads of people deliberately lie on their CV's so your employers will be impressed with your honesty.
