Criminal background checks may be available at your local police department. All you will have to do is provide them with your personal information. Just go ask.

There is only one way to be 100% certain. Run a manual onsite criminal record search in the county jurisdiction of interest. Generally only goes back seven years but you can add on additional search years if necessary: http://www.efindoutthetruth.com/CountywideCriminal.htm

You could call up a background checking company and ask if they will sell you a background check on yourself. I think the local police department check is a better idea if all you want is criminal history. Cheaper than the service as well. (We pay $75 each background check that we run)

I live in Detroit, MI and I've been on my job for 6 days and my doctor has taken me off work for extreme lower pelvic and back and side pain and heavy bleeding because of fibrods. I'm on 89 day probation with no benefits to start until I've been on my job 90 days. I was told when hired there will be no vacations or time off until July 2011. My doctor wants me to have surgery which will have me off work for 6 to 8 weeks. I do not think I qualify for FMLA or Short Term Disabilty due to the fact I only been working for the company 6 days. Do you think they will fire me if I chose to do the surgery??

Went to a interview on wednesday they said I had the Job as a CNA come Monday morning at 8:30 they called me and said that they couldnt offer me the job because of my criminal background check I have had dwi back in 2004 when brother died I told them about that on app what to do Ill never get a job at this rate I tell the truth but it doesnt matter
