My children were court ordered to seek counseling and have been doing so for over 8 months. Recently, I went back into court requesting this doctor's evaluation of the children and to seek private mediation. The California family judge indicated that there is a patient/doctor confidentiality in regard to evaluation and no order would be granted. I am completely baffled! The courts ordered them to go, yet the court indicates that they won't review his evaluation? My problem, my child has admitted to me and the doctor that he wants to harm himself, i.e., "jump off a building", "starve himself", "run away", and "I want to kill myself".
I have been battling with my ex in court for almost 2 years now regarding our current parenting plan. We have gone to private mediation twice and still, nothing has been resolved. I am completely spun and am tired of being accused of things that my ex is doing, NOT ME!
Additional Details
The psychotherapist has done nothing to help my children. He says one thing to me and my children and says something completely different to my ex. I asked him to mediate our entire family, not just the children, prior to going back to court...he said no. I changed my entire declaration and ended up looking like as *** in the courts eye because apparently he told my ex that he has "NO PROBLEM" mediating. I have tried for over 8 months to get him to do this and there are a ton of other issues that are going on. I feel as if he continues to take money from us without doing a darn thing. He wants to be the hero and my children are the ones suffering. Aside from filing a complaint against him, I am completely baffled. One of my children said to me the other night, "Wow dad, mom must be bribing the doctor with money like she does me."
