We are from SA,TX. We plan to get married on June 20,2009. We are living in NJ until Nov 2008. We are having our wedding back home with our friends and family. My husband is in the military and we are having a military wedding. We paid a photographer in full. Yet they have there numbers, email no longer working. We sent a certified letter and it was return back to us. I think they took our money and ran. We have a receipt and our bank statement to prove that we paid in full. Along with emails from them. What can we do? All we want is either our money back or for them to be there at our wedding. Please help this military family.

Yup, sounds like they took your money and ran. Unless you can find them, there is really nothing you can do. If you find them, you would not be able to rely on them to show up. If you find them, if they don't have the money to pay you back, you won't be able to collect. Suing them is not an option, as you may win the court case, but if they have no money to pay, you still do not collect....
You might want to contact Better Business Bureau. While they really can't help you with your situation, you may be able to see if others had the same problem, and they might have some information on the person.
Your first task is finding the guy. Without that information, there is really nothing you can do. |
