I need suggestions on a new job...I'm a college student?

I'm a rising junior Cell and Molecular Biology major with a Pre-Law minor and I am applying to Law school after graduation to become either a Pharmaceutical Lawyer or a Medical Malpractice lawyer. Now, I understand as difficult as it may be, I am trying to get a new job during the next semester but I'm trying to get a job with a more PROFESSIONAL job setting. I have worked in casual dining (Applebee's) since I was 16 and it's time for a change. Oh don't get me wrong, I'm an assistant manager and I get paid great but I need a setting change.
In essence, what is a more professional job I can attain this year that would preferably allow me to gain experience in law, political science, or biology and medicine for that fact??

Good for you on your continuing education! Time will fly by, so stick to it!
You might can do internships with larger pharma companies... you get a car, gas, insurance, above-average salary... check out their home pages and see what you can find. Part of the deal will probably be that, once finish school (4 years), you can get on with that pharma company as a representative. From this point, you can make contacts within the legal realm of pharmaceuticals (get to know the top managers... the movers and shakers within the company). Sometimes, pharma companies will pay for you to continue in school (MBA or law school) as long as you agree to work for them when you graduate.

You're in college, so go to your college's Career Placement office and talk to the advisors there - they should have a database of job listings that are seeking college students, and may have other resources or exclusve llistings that can give you an edge in your search. Good luck! |

I would try to intern or paying job at a law firm. The best way to get a great job after college is to make connections and get experience while you're still in school. Even if it is just an administrative job, it will get your foor in the door. |
