I put down the wrong dates on my job application. Now what??

I got a call from a background checking place asking for proof of self employment. I found a Schedule C from 2003 but not 2002 and I had down 2002-2004 as self-employed. I kept looking for 1099s or something for 2002 and realized I had written the wrong dates. I believe I copied the dates from a resume I had used to get my last position back in March of 2004. I was there until March of 2008 and they didn't question my dates of self-employment so I guess I just never even thought about it since then.

I called the background place to explain and the employer that made the job offer and left messages for both explaining the error. Now what?

STOP WORRYING ABOUT THIS!

This is, what, the fourth time you've asked this question? You made a simple mistake. It's NO BIG DEAL. Everyone makes little mistakes all the time. You're stressing about something that you don't need to stress about.

If they want to give you the job, putting down the wrong date isn't going to make them decide to not give it to you.
