there was 12 telehandler drivers working for a company and 5 had to be made redundant how can they make one driver redundant and keep another one on who has no license because it ran out 3 month ago plus it was only a training license which is not renewable which means the company would have to put him through the whole license again does anyone think i have a case because what i think they doing is making my job redundant and training someone else up to do it. if he has no license they cant say hes labouring because they have made 6 redundant

the other lad is on the same rate of pay as me he is classed as a telehandler driver but he has no license the vompany no he has no license and will probably put him through it

Well, I wonder if he's perhaps being kept on in a different position. You seem to think that all 12 of the drivers are on equal footing but actually this guy could be called a "trainee" or something like that, and probably be on a different rate of pay, so in effect he does a different job to you and they would be justified in keeping him on and letting you go. Remember, it is the *job* that is made redundant, not the person. |
