I walked out on a Drug Test will I ever get a Job Offer from this company again?

Back in June I had a Job offer for an Assistant Manager with a company (Party City). I had to take a Drug Test but was unable to give
them a sample to test. I had to wait 45 min, but when I could give them a sample. They would not allow me to go, I still had to wait 45 min. So I walked out of the testing facility, and they notified the company. And they took my offer from me, because I walked out of the drug test. I tried to apply for positions that I am fully qualified, and they never called me back or gave me another offer. Thanx again

Regardless of the reason you left, walking out on a drug test sends a message. You will not get any offers from Party City.

Walking out on a drug test is usually a sign to the employer that you are unable to pass the drug test. It automatically makes then think that you regularly use drugs and didn't want to be caught. It's no wonder they won't give you another chance.

Drug tests are set up days in advance. You go there knowing that you're going to have to give a urine sample. Why did you not prepare and drink a bottle of water at least an hour before? Failure to plan is your worst enemy. It takes 30 minutes for water to travel from your stomach to your bladder, hence the 45 minute wait. Because you failed to plan ahead.

If you left because you ran out of time, your mistake was not calling the company that sent you there BEFORE you left the testing facility. That act alone tells HR that you shouldn't be a manager with their company. If you can't think on your feet in a small situation like that one, then how can you be expected to make real decisions or sound judgments as a manager within their organization?

In their eyes, you will never be qualified because of your failure to take the drug test. If they are a no-tolerance employer in terms of drug use, then you've just slammed the door on your own foot.

Move on, and look elsewhere for a job.

When you walk out of a drug test, no matter what the conditions, they think you have something to hide.
What's to prevent you from walking out on them on the job if things don't go your way?
You can forget that company ever giving you the time of day again.

I suppose in this day and age there are so many applicants for these positions that a big company would not take the risk of employing someone who they think may be taking drugs. I think you should have explained the situation and asked to be re-tested. If you have the qualities and qualifications that this company needs and wants, then I am sure they will allow you to take the test again. You just need to make sure that you are able to give them a sample, or to explain to them why you are not able to. Perhaps they might be able to do a blood test in place of the usual urine test.
