I want to be a lawyer but I'm afraid when I graduate I won't be able to find a job?

Is it difficult. Is the law field stable?

i'd say that it is difficult...law is a concentrated field because there are a lot of perks and attractions to it...

with that said...there is always conflict in this world...and even though it disgusts me...there are also a lot of people who will be prosecuted by the law...so there is an evergrowing demand for lawyers because the legal process has blown up and become a rogue fighting agent....so there will always be a strong demand for lawyers...always...so it'll be a stable field....although some of it will vary in terms of what kind of law you're looking for...

for example...intellectual property law may be more fun and safer than criminal law...but i'd argue that criminal law is growing faster and is more stable...although it wouldn't be the type of work you may be looking for

anyway...that's a long way of saying that the law field is certainly stable...although it's difficult to get into a good law school and to find a job directly after the said school....

The field is stable and the degree is flexible. You just need to know what you want and be a go-getter. You also need to be realistic. You probably won't make $200,000 out of law school and law isn't like tv.

However, I just got a job with the federal government. They're paying me less than what I'd earn as an attorney, but I got a step up in pay because of my degree an they're paying my student loans. In a few years, I'll be considered an expert in that field and can leave and become an attorney with that specialized knowledge and make quite a bit of money.

Currently working in the law field as an Office Administrator, I have had the opportunity to interview both experienced and unexperienced attorneys.

What I can tell you is that the law field is EXTREMELY competitive and I have acutally hired licensed attorneys to fill paralegal roles, because they were unable to find jobs.

Any law school is going to tell you what you want to hear to get you to go there. The law school knows that you are going to have to pay your student loans back no matter what, since they can not be wiped out with bankruptcy.

To answer your question is yes to both parts. The law field is very difficult and demanding, but very stable! Once you get into a law firm, and you prove yourself, you will have a stable job.

Please keep in mind that most law schools assist you with job placement, and can assist you with finding a job once complete.

Law is incredibly competitive and employer are always looking for somebody with an edge. Don't give up your dream, work very hard , make sure you leave uni with the highest grades possible and something extra would really help you to get a job such as a high grade in an instrument , a qualification in a language or something like that.
Good Luck
