I would have to get an associate's degree. I am a high school graduate with a clerical background.

Don't let your age intimidate you!!! You will encounter people who will make decisions based on age (paralegals are all young gals) but the heck with them.
If you have or can get the skill, can impress them in an interview (skills, personality, initiative, work ethic) and don't let YOUR pre-conceived notions get in your way, you can do it. Make them want to hire you.
I became an Alaska State Trooper at 43 years old. I took up archery in Alaska at 52, and I'm not sure what I'll decide I can do next. |

You are never too old! GO FOR IT!!! I did at 32, and my mother-in-law did in her 50s. Lots of people are going to college later after raising a family and working other jobs. |

You're never too old! Think of it like this, you can live your life in a job that makes you miserable or you can pursue a career that you love and will be fulfilling. Some people don't find their passion until they are in their 80's. Some know right away what they want to do with their lives. You should go for it! |
