I want to get fired and draw unemployment in Mississippi?

I have been at my job for over 3 years and they just transfered 7 of us to new departments disreguarding there so called clock number policy. We have been mistreated and we have the worst jobs in the plant and have been turned over to outside management. We all are getting the shi* worked out of us and nobody there cares. Im looking hard for another job and will probably have a new one in less than a month. I no if I make it another day at my current job, it will be a miracle! How can I get fired and draw unemployment until I get my new job.
Thanks for your help!

You did not hear this from me. The best way to get "fired" and still be able to collect unemployment is by working under your preformance level. In othe words, if you do piece work then slowly start doing less. If you work output can be measured over time then slow down.
Do not do anything else, like taking long breaks or showing up late/leaving early as those are grounds for rightful termination. On the other hand, work shortage is a time and true method of getting your point across in a "legal" manor. |

You better call your labor board. You can report the mistreatment to them. You should also ask them if you get fired, are you even eligible to collect unemployment. In many states, you cannot collect it if you get fired. Or they certainly make it harder to do so.
Try and hang in there until you know your options. |

You sound really tired. As in, exhausted.
Just stop going, or show up late and leave early. That'll just about do it. While you're not showing up, get some sleep or go to interviews.
Best of luck to you. |

Before you continue with this plan, make sure that you will be able to collect unemployment if you get fired on purpose. Unemployment usually only covers job loss that is the employer's fault, not the employees. For example, I know of one state that would not pay if you were fired for stealing money (in any amount) or for stealing at least $25 worth of other property. |

You won't be able to collect unemployment benefits if you are fired.
Keep looking for a new job and hope for a layoff. That's the only way you will be eligible for unemployment.
Good luck.
By the way, there is lots of work in Greenville, building tugboats. |

I fail to see how you could justify such an illegal and immoral act. If your employer is not fair in your eyes, this does not mean you can do something illegal.
If you do get unemployment from your employer, that money does not magically appear. The employer pays it. That means the employer has less money to improve working conditions and pay other employees. Maybe you hate your employer, but why would you cause further harm to the other employees.
If you have a hard time getting a job, consider getting some education in another field. Do a little research and find something that you could excel. Learn that job and go in that direction.
Immoral and illegal acts are not justified as a form of retribution. Be above that. You said yourself that you can have another job in less than a month. Be an adult and deal with the current situation and find a better one that fits your skills and temperament. |
