can someone please help i have recently been dismissed. i have found another job i have been given a verbal offere subject to reference. i am scared if the reference comes back to employer and reasons for leaving is mentioned as dismissal.

yes it will be mentioned, they usually send a form to the prior employer to fill out answers to specific questions |

It depends on why you where dismissed and if it's important to your new employer. If your new boss likes your work despite of the referral, don't worry about it. |

Its possible that your current employer will look back at all previous jobs, and depending on what type of job you were offered. most jobs that pay less then $20,000 a year, want get to detail. but try to choose a reference that you like, and can help you ensure you current job spot. |

references usually ask dates of employment, salary, position, reason for termination and if the person is re-hireable.
employers are legally required to answer truthfully. |

Legally - your past employer can only say that you worked there from this date to that date. However, that being said - many employers do not realize that they can get in serious trouble for this and will say something. It's a 50/50 toss up, in my opinion |
