I was fired based on a lie...?

And I want to take a stand: I worked at the park district and was fired because of a lie and now I'm inelligible for rehire. This has effected me tremendously because I havent been able to find a job since. Not only do i want my job back but i want to take action discourage parents from enrolling their kids at that awful place they call a camp because it truly was awful. I saw rec leaders hitting the children all sorts of things so how can I do this succesfully

If it is that awful why would you want to go back?

But to answer your question, if you feel you were unfairly terminated the place to complain is the state labor board. Be prepared for a long, frustrating process and dealing with plenty of folks who just plain don't care how you feel. You'll want to put together a chronology of events leading up the termination, along with any evidence you may have.

I'd be a little leery of discouraging parents from bringing their kids because there could be a countersuit for obstruction of business. If you feel children are being abused, the place to start could be child protective services.

My suggestion: move on with your life and don't think about this anymore. Focus on good things, you'll feel better and it will help to move your forward.

Another suggestion: any perception of a vendetta, revenge, getting back or paying back on your part (meaning people percieve it in you) will only hinder you - no matter what course you decide on.
