Yes.

If you are in the US then you are fired.
There are no papers that, by law, have to be signed.
Some companies do exit interviews but that is a policy decision not an issue of law.

Yes there is nothing to sign, you are just OUT!

if they fire you they fire you why would u sign a paper? do u think you have to like agree to being fired or something?

Yes, you technically are still fired. Your employer must fill out termination paperwork for their documentation, but it is not required that you sign off on it. They just have to document why your termination was necesary. Your signature is not required for it to be legal. Hope this helps!

Do not sign any papers. They can word it that you quit and do not have to pay unemployment. Go in on your regular work day and if they say you're fired, just turn around and walk out.

Lilian
It is just only matter of time until you sign papers. Make a big scene, will only cost you more time and you will loose any package( like advance paid of few weeks or months.. If there any). Trust me if you work for a big company, once they let you go, you have to. Unless you have a lot of money to hire a lawyer, if you feel like the cause of fired is unreasonable, or discrimination, or harassment....But chances are rare. Good luck to you.

some jobs don't require u to sign any papers

Yep bye.............

some jobs dont require you to sign paperwork. So it does look like you were fired.
You could always go back and ask why you were terminated, then you would know for sure whether or not you were fired.

vanessa
no you have to sign the papers to actually be fired
you should tell them that
