I was fired......sry i didnt give enough info when i asked before.?

ok well heres how the story goes, i was hired to work 3 days a week, sat.- mon. one week later they were like "other empoyer" is going out of town, would you be able to cover for her, i agreed to do so. by covering for her i worked 11 days straight and didnt complain or anything. on my 11th day at teh end of my shift the boss asked me to step into his office. he told me they were letting me go because the one that had gone on vacation wanted more hours. so it actually seems to me that they just hired me long enough to cover for her while she went on vacation. i was never told anything about that when i was hired. is there anything i can do at all?

I doubt it, you didn't work their long enough, but I would see if they have a corporate office, and raise a little he11 with his boss. Also did they pay you time and a half for your overtime? Also file a complaint with your local Employement security commission.

EMPLOYER'S ACTIONS LEGAL

Your employer has the right to terminate your employment for almost any reason (except for legally protected classes such as gender, race or disability). In the case, your employer had the right to terminate you.

RECOURSE

You don't have any legal recourse to get your job back, but under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act you may be entitled to overtime pay if you worked more than 40 hours in a workweek. Also check your state law for overtime laws. You can file a claim with the US Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division for back pay, and/or with your state's labor section.

UNIONS

Your problem is the very reason that workers organizerunions: Because without a union, the boss has the right to call the shots--no matter how unfair it may be--and for the worker it's a "take it or leave it" situation. When workers organize a union the boss has to NEGOTIATE with employees over wages, benefits and working conditions. The boss actually has to make decisions and compromises TOGETHER with the employees! Organizing a union is a way to put some decision-making powers in the hands of the employees.

You don't say what state your in. Most states except the North East and Lower West coast are right to work states. Legalize for you can be fired without a reason or notice and you can do nothing for it.
If you live in a pro labor state, such as I stated N.E. or Calf. there may be a state law that protect you from being hired under false pretenses. But that is a long shot since you did not ask when hired.

Try and remeber this mistake next time someone says that unions are evil and not needed.

You can get another job.

Under 90 days and they can do what they like.

That aside, were you fired or laid off? You can be laid off you are less senior and there is a shortage of work.
