I was hired pending reference checks??

So I was hired pending reference checks ( which all my references are good) but I was told to put in my two weeks and was given my start date.
I guess my question is should I be worried that I just put in my two weeks and they hadnt given me a firm answer or I am just being paranoid?

You are hired and have a job, along with a start date. Your only fallback right now would be a bad background or reference check. Since you have assured it to be good with no problems, you should not be worried. So therefore you are just being paranoid.

i started my job with pending ref checks, i am past my probational period nothing was said so i took it everything was fine, i am sure they would have been hot on the case it if wasnt so. dont worry

If you are confident in your references then dont worry, if you made your self look better on paper then your past employers or references will tell you future employer than you might want to be worried.
Im sure you are fine though!

Never give your two weeks unless you have a signed job offer......you could be out of a job.........you should be worried.
