Find answers to your legal question.

I was released from a job and was not given a reason. Just told that the last day I worked, WAS my last day.?

I worked for a Temp Agency.for a place 6 months, and I was told that I would be hired. Well during those 6 months I was wrongfully released because of a mis-informed Drug Test for employment, but I cleared it up and was allowed to come back. I also was hurt on the job and I took care of the injury on my own, with my own insurance, and worked with the cast on, but was still let go for unknown reasons. Isn't it someone I can go to, to find out if my employee rights have been taken away from me. This happened on the 14th of April, 2007.

You don't indicate if you were laid off from the temp agency or just the temporary position.

If it was just the temp position, by now you should have been given another assignment.

I would contact an attorney about the Workmans Comp claim -- but you may not be able to claim it since you paid with your own insurance. This is why it is ALWAYS important to file Workmans Comp for any OTJ injury.

They may have felt you would be a liability. And the temp agency may have felt you were a liability as well if they haven't found you a position.

If you cannot afford an attorney, contact your local law school and see if they can assist you with resources.

Whenever I worked for a Temp Agency, the place I was working at never had to give a reason for "ending your assignment." That's part of the reason why they use those agencies.
Might also depend on your state laws also.

You were a temp, by definition they don't need to give you a reason for letting you go.

There is no such thing as 'unknown reasons'. You know what happened, even if you aren't telling. I would just file for unemployment and move on.

As a temp, you can be let go for any reason at all. It does sound like you are a high-maintanance worker, and many companies don't need the aggravation. You're not an employee of the company so your so-called rights don't apply here.

You sound like a high-maintenance employee. I probably would have fired you, too.

The employment agency is the liaison between you and the company. Go to them. Otherwise the state is notified when you are let go for unemployment purposes. They will investigate and see if you qualify so maybe they will tell you something.

unfortunatly your screwed there is really nothing you can do. as far as the injury at the time of the injury you should have put that under workers comp and made them pay.. now its to late

You can always speak to an attorney on a consultative basis, contact Human Resources, Investigations Dept. (if there is one), or maybe contact the headquarters of the job you worked at.

well first off you were an idiot for taking care of an injury on the job yourself, the appropriate action would be to go to the medical facility that provided service for the company and let them pay for it.

Second, you can't do anything. You were a temp and as such had no expectation that the assignment was permanent. Which also means no unemployment. Thats the reason the companies like temps they don't have to pay unemployment insurance for you while your there because they know you can't collect when they let you go.
