Do the math for the entire year.......it works out.......ask HR to explain it.......4 days off ............ that's sweet.....

4 days, 12 hr shifts with 4 days off. Thats 8 days. Hmm....

Your work days may be split between 2 different pay periods. For example, if your paid work week is Mon through Sun and you are working Sun, Mon, Tues and Wed., then you would only see 32 hours in 1 pay period.

Its a continental shift and some weeks you will be only working three shifts its weird how its calculated but it does work out right in the end.
Ask a member of HR to explain it for you.

Before deciding what course of action you can take, you need to check your Contract of Employment to see how your wages are worked out. You have a right to be paid for all the hours you have worked, however if you are only paid for 3 out of 4 shifts and you carry on doing this without complaint, it may be seen as accepting this as an implied term within your Contract of Employment.

Find out why you are not being paid in full (if this is the case) and repost your question if you still have concerns.

Good luck.

i think it's a rip off, i would want pay for 48 hrs worked or leave.

If you are in the US, you must be paid for the 48 hours than you worked. Did you ask your payroll department or your boss what happened? Sounds like maybe somebody just made a mistake (in which case they need to fix it) or that the last day was part of the next pay period and you'll be paid for it in your next check.

Other countries might have different laws, I don't know.

yes, because its worked out over 52 weeks, the 36 hours you are being paid covers your 4 days of to, and your holiday pay etc, your not being short changed.
