Well everyone has said no, However, you should at least be in near contact with someone and not left alone if you are working in big hotel.
If you feel unsafe with working on your own why not speak to your supervisor. When I worked as chambermaid years ago we always had to work in pairs. |

No it's not illegal,
But some of my chambermaids expressed concern over the safety of working alone for so long, so I provide Personal Panic Alarms for ALL my housekeeping staff to use. |

The only time you might wish to speak to a manager about having help might be if the was a job involving lifting or perhaps if there was a customer who made you uneasy - like a male client coming on to you |
