actually i have a bit of a problem...
my hours were changed at prospect airport services.. they were 2:30pm - 11pm.. the day after my first day of working those hours, a supervisor changed them... and on each time card they print up a sticker of the persons name and the hours they are assigned to work.
they have kept the error on the time card saying i STILL work from 2:30-11pm i notified them many times of this error... and now i am finding out that because i have been comming in at a time other than what the card says i wont be getting my 2 WEEKS of pay...i worked 88 hours!!!! IS THIS LEGAL?! How am i going to feed my family? what do i do?

No, not legal, you have to be paid for the hours you worked. They let you work them, they have to pay you. And if the 88 hours were in two weeks, at least 8 of those hours are overtime at time and a half. |

report them to the labor board, and if they don't pay I know you can get interest after so many days. Don't let it go.

yea if you worked they have to pay you. They could probably punish you some other way but they have to pay you what you worked. |

Do you belong to a Union? Have you got copies of your time cards? Can you get your local politician to help? You have attended your work place & carried out the work. Whose responsibility is it for the printing of the stickers for your time card? Whose responsible for putting the stickers on your time card, is it you or your supervisor? Can you go over your supervisor's head to Management or HR department? You also say you notified them many times, did you actually write down the time & date of each notificationin a diary or on a calender (even if it's in your work locker or @ home)? Do you have any witnesses or work mates that can attest you made notifications? If you hadn't been to work how did the work get done & by whom? I've never heard of anything so ridiculous or unfair, surely it can't be lawful? I hope I have given you some ideas, I used to be an the executive committee member of an Australian union . Prospect is horrible!!! They been sued by Workers, Passengers, EEOC, USDOL etc etc. somebody needs to teach them a lesson Once and for all. there is NOTHING good online about them - except on their own website -where they post their own sh*t! contact US Dept of Labor file a complaint, find a new job because GUARANTEE they'll find (or make up) a excuse to fire you. USDOL will get all your money + interest maybe even Triple (3x) as punishment because they had USDOL issues before.
