depends on the state
20+ don't require work permits for minors
of the states that do require permits some only require permits for 14 and 15-year-olds.
a few of the states issue permits through the department of labor while most (of the ones that require them) issue them through the local school system.
if your state requires permits then being home-schooled has no bearing you will go through the same process as you would if you were in public schools.

you get it at the local school superintendent's office. Doesn't matter if you're homeschooled -- that's where you have to go. |
