If a 16 year old drops out of high school, can he still get working papers?

I'm 15.
I'm considering dropping out of school (with consent) at 16.
I'm an actor, right now when i get my working papers they need to be signed by the school
If I were to drop out, what would happen as far as the working papers and keeping myself legal to continue to work as an actor in P.A. and N.Y. (mainly) and occasionally in L.A.
Alright, I think that's all the facts, please don't try and convince me to stay in, that's not what this is about, I'm just trying to get all my facts to make an educated decision with my family.

you will still need a work permit and it is obtained in the same manner through the same school. the permit does allow for more hours worked and is a different permit.
