Every bank employs lawyers to look after the legal works which include attending to cases filed by their customers against them , especially in consumer courts.Some banks do have a legal cell in which lawyers are employed. |

You could be an in-house attorney for the bank, working in the bank's legal department, dealing with legal compliance issues, drafting forms for the bank to use with customers, or hiring attorneys to defend the bank in lawsuits.

More and more banks are hiring JDs to work in their Trust Departments, particularly because of the needs of high net worth individuals to avoid estate taxes when their estates are larger than the $2M per person exemption. Some larger national banks have large trust divisions in each region specifically for these people and there is a definite need for the employees to have JDs. Smaller, independent banks might hire the attorney directly in the trust division at the local branch, where the JD is desirable and useful for the job, but not required (i.e., not all of your co-workers will necessarily have a JD).
Also, obviously, in-house counsel for the company, but you probably knew that. |

you would not get a job at the bank, you could be hired for the bank in a law suit, or work for the bank as legal consul, and that would ba at a main office not at your local branch they don't have attys there. |
