Your resume is supposed to be a snapshot of your abilities to perform a job. If you put every single job you'd ever worked on there, some people would have multiple page resumes and no potential employer has time to leaf through small books on every applicant - nor do they have time to verify the accuracy. The only thing you should steer clear of is adding in stuff you have NOT done. That is the kind of information they WILL find out. |

a resume' is a highlight film......
not a documentary.
they are more likely to find out if you embellish it then if you leave something out. it is hard to check for something that is not mentioned in the resume'. |

Prospective employers usually look for unexplained gaps in your employment history. If they take up your references they will ask the referees about the dates you were employed.
If you have an interview they may ask you about any gaps in your history, this is in case you were in prison or something similar.
If you do lie about your employment history and a new employer finds out about it somehow, that will almost certainly be grounds enough to sack you.
Having said all that, if you get the job and you're a good worker why should they look for problems. |

You don't need to put all your jobs on your resume. They are only concerned with the jobs that are relevant to the position for which you are applying. |

Request your free credit report from annualcreditreport.com or call them toll free @ 1-877-322-8228 for all 3 free reports. If there is a job on the reports that you will not put down on the resume, just call that credit bureau and ask to remove that employer. In most cases, they will do it for you. |

Some but not all of you employers can show up on your credit report. First find out if the future company plans on pulling one. You might also have to account for why you were unemployed during a period of time. I would say just put it down there are only 3 or 4 questions an future employer can ask an old employer and that would be..when did you start, what did you start out making and end up making and if you are re-hire able. So they really dint have a lot of room to say anything bad! Dint risk it by lying |

There is not "a way," there are MANY ways.
If something went horribly awry at a prior job, most application forms provide a few lines where you can explain why you left or were terminated. Alternatively, you can attach an explanation page to the application.
Unless it's shockingly egregious prior behavior on your part, you aren't the first person they've considered in a similar situation. Likewise, you won't be the last person ever hired, despite a similar situation.
They will probably expect further explanation at the interview. Be prepared, be professional, and be candid.
Nobody deserves to be lied to.
Good luck! |

Depends, they may do a background check and by your social number they can see who you've worked for. That I'm sure is only of you are applying for a really important job. Not at the mall or something. |
