I have been on a work contract for 2 years, the day after my contract was up i receive a letter that i no longer have my job. Do you think that i should have receive a notice before letting me know that i no longer have a job?

If you had a 2 year contract, you should have kept track of when the time was up. No, he doesn't have to do it for you or give you notice. |

Nope, two years is two years. You knew that going in. NOW! If he had wanted you to stay ON for alonger period, then it would have been incumbent on him to give you some sort of notice. After all, a deal is a deal and your deal is for two years and you have every right to be prepared to leave (maybe you applied for and got another job) and now HE wants you to stay on a week or two's notice.

Nope. He is not obligated to do so. He might assume that you know that you would be leaving once the two years is up. |

No. It was a contract - there was a start date and end date noted on the contract. You knew it was ending. No notice is required.
I have worked on several contracts and was always told if my contract was going to be extended or not. |

No, because a 2-year contract technically gave you a TWO YEAR notice of when the job was ending.
Sorry, I fail to see how they owe you more than that and how you didn't understand that a 2-year contract was for TWO YEARS in duration. |
