You will get no benefits for around 26 weeks.

If you voluntarily quit your job, you will not be able to claim any JSA for 26 weeks.

it won't do you any harm...

and if there is a good reason why you left your job they may actually be able to give you some benefit.

and even if they can't give you any benefits for the normal 26 weeks they may be able to provide you with other services.

I left my job in october and i did not even bother with job centre i am just hoping to find another one myself cant be bothered with their hassle for nothing at the end of it.

if you have left your job you must sign on even though you won`t get any money because your national insurance will be paid then you won`t fall behind with your pension credits

Yes it is, as long as you can vouch for your NI stamp or lack off your still safe with the tax office, it can take 3 weeks from making the fresh claim appointment to the actual fresh claim and 1st signing on to receiving your dole.
