If you plan to leave your job to go work for a competitor?

You are planning to leave your job to go work for a competitor; your boss invites you to an important meeting where you will learn about new products your company will be bringing out next year. Do you go to the meeting? How do you handle this dilemma?

If you have already handed in your notice then you boss is a fool for inviting you to the meeting.
If you have not handed in your notice then go to the meeting.
There is no "dilemma". it is entirely upto you what you do with the information taking into account that this information may be commercially confidential and would probably be covered in your contract anyway.
It is upto you as an individual whether you pass on information or not.

Sorry to say, but it is a little like every man for himself. Go to the meeting and do your best to add positive input. If, at the end of the day you choose not to stay with your employers, go to the competitor, it's the way of the world. You have to look at your own future.

Don't go to the meeting. After all you don't want to be seen as an idea stealer.
