it depends on the state and the companies stated policy.
in only about a dozen states is there law that mandates payment of accrued time, in most states it is a matter of company policy. the only generic site is federal and the laws there do not mandate payment of accrued paid time off so that won't help you.

Yes they owe you that. Most likely it will come in a check seperate from the regular payroll check. |

If you left the position in "good standing". Provided you gave your employer the required notice of resignation ( 2 weeks, 4 weeks) and you served out your notice.
But the important thing is that you were in good standing with the company.
If your eligible for your accrued vacation payout, then you would more than likely receive that after your last paycheck.
If you have any pre-tax deductions (health insurance, disability, 401K) where the premiums are paid in a month advance and you resigned before that month was over, you would see a deduction in your last pay to compensate for what is expected of you on a deduction. Does that part make sense? |
