In UK employment how long do you have to be working for someone to be entitled to sick pay and paid holiday? ?

I have been working for someone for two months and wondered when I will be entitled to sick pay and paid holiday?
I am not contracted, as this is a temporary position, though they haven't specifically said how long they'll need me for.
up until now if i have had a day off sick then I have lost out on a days wages and at the moment I have really unwell but simply can't afford to take time off.

In UK , If you take time off from work due to illness, your pay depends on the terms of your contract of employment. If there is no company scheme, then Statutory Sick Pay is applicable, you'll be paid SSP by the company, which will start from 4th day of sickness. The present rate is £75.40 per week.
All workers have had a statutory right to at least 4.8 weeks paid annual leave (that's 24 days paid holiday if you work five days a week)..

Rights to this leave accrue from day 1. It does not matter whether you are prem or temp. They should at least be paying you SSP.
