Is Being A Lawyer Considered A "Good" Profession?

Is Being A Lawyer Considered A "Good" Profession?

I have a couple years left of undergraduate study, and I'm considering going to law school. The more I learn about law (and politics), the more it seems like a viable career. But I constantly hear how stressful law school is, and one must be extremely committed in order to finish.

So, would being a lawyer be a really "good" or "useful" profession? Opinions and second-hand accounts would be nice.

It is not considered a good profession, it is considered a great profession.

I am also going to go into Law. And while it will be stressful, I consider it equally rewarding.

If you are going to go to Law School, make sure you start studying for the LSAT test ASAP!!! That is the most important factor when it comes to you getting accepted into Law School. A good LSAT score goes a long way.

Law School students practically live in the Library, if that sounds like something your not interested in, don't do it. You DO have to be very committed and focused, but if you hang in there, you definitely will have something to show for it.

Besides a great salary, it's a very prestige's job.

It is useful, and it helps people, but it can get very emotional. also, according to John Grisham, there are too many lawyers, and people who want to be lawyers out there. of course, no profession is all "good" filled with all "good" people.

I would suggest that you choose a field of study because of a certain passion for the field, not because it may not be a good one or a bad one ( and a good one for a person may be a bad one for another). You choose it for the money or whatever, you might get bored within a day or three. Seek something of interest to YOU.
