Is a college degree earned in prison worthless?
Find answers to your legal question.

Is a college degree earned in prison worthless?

There are lots of felons that earn a college bachelors degree in prison, do their degrees actually help then get a job when they get out?

No education is ever worthless. What you learn always stays stuck in your brain.

However the ability to use that education is highly determinate upon the likelyhood of rehabilitation, and the random opportunity of finding an employer willing to provide a person a second chance.

Remember, the brain is a muscle. If you don't use it, you lose it. Flex it, pump it up.

The degree is often just another check in the box on a resume. It doesn't matter where you got the degree so long as you have one from an accredited institution. A degree would help them but there is still the stigma of the fact that they went to prison.

Any degree is good to have. If it is your only option, go for it, it is better than no degree at all.

It depends on the degree and where you got it from. Statistically speaking the more education you get while in prison the less likely you will return. It is too bad that people did not take up religion or schooling before they did the crime.
