I work on a monthly schedule that doesnt change for a whole month and I usually get my work schedule a week after the month has began. I end up having to cancel plans i.e. doctors visits, weekend getaways, baby shower...etc.. I just need to know if they are required to give me an adequate amount of time so I can schedule my outside life around it.

yeah I always ask what my schedule will be ahead of time always and I always receive it the day before it goes into effect

No, they aren't legally required to give you your schedule any sooner. Nor are you legally required to continue working for them. Sounds like it might be time to look for a different job. |

That's correct. There is no labor law in any state that requires the company to give you specific notice of hours.
