Is it better to become a paralegal before lawyer?

No.

Paralegal is not a stepping stone to becoming an attorney.

If you want to be an attorney then go straight for it.

To be a paralegal you need at least a 2 year degree and 2 years of experience. To be an attorney you need 4 year degree plus 3 years of law school and to pass the state bar exam.
