Is it legal for a company 2 fire me for not having a/p-a/r exp, if i was hired for office support?

I was hired at a company for office support, answering phones, filing ect. after months of employement i was trained for 2 weeks in A/P-A/R, I never received warnings and I was fired because I did not have experience in A/R-A/P, and they told me they needed someone with experience.

Yes, most jobs ate at will employment meaning that they can fire you for no reason and vice versa. But depending on your state laws, you might be eligible for Unemployment Compensation.

They can. If you were there long enough you can probably collect unemployment though.

Good luck - hope you find something else soon.

Yes, they are able to do this. I would ask for a letter of recommendation since they seem to be the ones that changed their minds as to what they wanted in the first place. Leave on good terms with them. It is always good to ask for a written job description before you accept the job. Keep you chin up and good luck.

Depends on where you work and what your contract looks like. Many states are "right to work," not unionized and the employer can look at you Friday and say you are the 117th person to walk in his office that week and that means you're fired. It's totally legal in a right to work state.
