yes, that is why you are an exempt employee.

You are (probably) on salary and exempt from overtime laws.

Exempt means that you are Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. (FLSA) Thats the law that regulates working hours, overtime pay, child labor, ect.

Exempt is not a status thing nor does it mean you make more money. Exempt means Exempt from the law. They law does not apply to you, you have no protection.

These laws do not apply to Exempt Employees.

Absolutely. When you are exempt you are paid for your skills, not your time. Therefore the time is irrelevant.

it is legit to work 90 hours a week and only get paid for 40, thats whay its called salary
