Is it legal for a sales company to offer commisions only and no hourly rate?

i have a offer for a telemarketing job but they only pay commissions is this legal or do they have to pay a hourly rate

As long as they disclose that it is commission only and the person agrees , it is legal .

And only certain jobs are required to pay minimum wage ,

If you are an employee, you must make at least minimum wage, although any commissions you earn can be applied as part of the minimum wage requirement.

If you qualify as an independent contractor, then commission only is legal.

If you work at their facility and they set your hours, you are pretty surely an employee. If you work from home, you are most likely a contractor.
