Yup I think so and many of them are so if you have any stupid pictures (like you look drunk or are dressed inappropriately) of yourself or any incriminating evidence (like blogs about stuff not exactly legal) I would take it off. Many will just look around under your name or email address to see if they find something. |

That's a strange question for employers to ask when it has nothing to do with getting the job, background check or no.
There are other ways more sensible to do background checks on people; not by going to a website that may not even be theirs. |

I'd think so, you don't have to put it if you don't want to. They are trying to see what kinda person you are. its a good personal reference i think.

Yes, but I know for a fact that some employers look through those personal sites such as my space and bebo to see what they can find which is completely legal. My advise don't put anything on there you wouldn't want your mother to see. |
