If you have direct deposit, the banking information will sometimes appear on your payslip, but only the employer and the payroll department are supposed to see that info anyway. If they disclose or show that information to other people, that's a breech of privacy. |

I have never heard of this being illegal.
I would imagine that, if you're paid by bank transfer, not only would it be legal but it would also be necessary. |

I think if you are being paid directly to the bank then they have to put the details on the slip as proof of where the money went. No-one else willsee this and often it is typed on a carboned type of envelope so that only the person actually inputting the data reads it as they type. |
