Is it legal for my employer to hold me the additional hour during time change and not pay me?

I'm an hourly employee who works nights. Well, it seems that my employer recently changed their policy and decided that they would only pay me for the 12 hours of work that I'm scheduled instead of the actual 13 hours that I will work because of the time change? They say that when the time changes back next year, it will even out. Is this legal considering I'm hourly?

you must be paid for all hours you work, if you actually work 13 you MUST be paid for 13.

I'm honestly not an expert at this but it sounds like somebody is trying to screw you and I've never heard of this happening before at any job I've worked or any job my friends or family have worked. |

It is illegal for them not to pay you for 13 hours.
But if you call the labor board will they know it was you? |

If you are an hourly employee, your employer is required by law to pay you for every hour you work. If they make you work 13 hours, and only pay you for 12, you should report them to your state's Department of Labor. Each state has different labor laws, but what your employer is trying to do is illegal no matter what state you live in. |

It is not legal. The law states that you must be paid for all hors worked. if you work one hour that a time keeping mechanism reverts to, you still worked the hour and must be paid. |
