I'm thinking of changing my job and I don't know if it's leagal if you're applying for a job if you're still an employee?

If are a citizen of UK, it be legal if you apply for a job when you are working as an employee.
But,If you have a UK work permit and want to change jobs, you will first need another permit which will need to be obtained by your new prospective employer. |

Hm.. the person above mentioned jobs abroad, do people on this website not understand that some people actually do live in the UK! =/
Anyway, no it's not illegal at all.
You're well within your rights to look for other jobs while still employed to someone else.
Although it is a taboo subject, as obviously your boss wouldnt be too happy if he found out you weren't happy working for him/her, and wanted to work somewhere else.
So dont let your boss know, just because it might mean if you don't get another job, and continue to work there, that there is a lot of tension and your boss doesnt give you as good work as they think you're not intending on sticking around anyway.
So it's not illegal, but best not to let them know. |

yes it is legal, thousands of people do it all the time, when you do find another job you like let them know in the interview that you have to let your employer know and do your weeks notice, then go to your job and hand in notice, no problem, good luck. |
