Is it legal to be paid by the minute?

Im a carer was being paid by the job now we log in while we are with a client and out when we leave , we get no travel time or petrol money and it looks like we will be on 10p a minute, we just dont know what we can do about it, do you ?

most people dont get paid for travel time or gas money. so yes its legal to pay you for only the work you do and no more.

If it's any consolation, I don't get paid travel time or petrol money to get to and from work.
