Is it legal to cut my hours from full time to part time when i need to work full time,because i missed 3 days.?

I`ve worked in the nursery for almost 4 years.There is no warning but i should not have gone on holiday.

theres alot of places thats cutting peoples hours because of the economy..
a place of business can bring you from working full time hours to part time hours without warning..
i know it doesnt sound fair but its happening alot these days..

Actually, there is no need for there to even be a reason for an employer to trim hours - they can do it as they see fit. About your only option is to either ask to go back full time and not miss work unexcused again or to look for a different job. (Based on U.S. law)
