I work year round at a daycare- I get 12$ an hour. My contract is a 12 month contract. My boss is now telling my coworkers and I that in the summer our pay will only be 10$ an hour. Is it legal to cut wages like that?

in the US?
if so then YES......
it is legal anytime as long as the employer notifies you prior to working at the new rate unless you have a contract that specifically covers the issue.

so do you have a contract with the daycare?
if you do it should contain all the information you need concerning pay.
