Is it legal to have 2 fulltime jobs in the state of indiana?

ok so i have a fulltime job at mcdonalds and just applied for a fulltime posistion at the walmart. my schedules would work and not intersect with time to sleep..but what im wondering is this legal? in indiana between the two of them it be about 75-80hrs...i can barely make ends meet working at the one. please help!!!

also i want to point out when filling out the w2 forms during the mcdonalds orientation the forms said we were part time employees only managers and higher were considered fulltime although i work about 40hrs a week..does this mean its not really a full time job

yes it is legal, as long as the employers don't have an issue with your availability you are fine.
a lot of people work 2 or 3 jobs and many have worked 75 hours a week in one job.

rest when you can because absenteeism and poor performance due to lack of sleep can end up costing you both jobs. good luck.

In your situation it's probably 100% legal (however as the other poster pointed out, you better check w/ both Wal-Mart and McDonald's to ensure you're not in violation of their policies).

Since others may see your question, and be in a different situation I will say there are occasions where it is illegal. These are generally situations where conflict of interest comes into play - for instance it's probably illegal for me to work for an investment banking firm and the SEC at the same time.

There's nothing illegal about it,and yes, even if you work 40 hours at mcdonalds, you're part-time. I'm assuming it's their policy to count only managers and up as full-time, because to them, full-time means they get insurance, and you don't.
So do whatever their policy says.
